Reiki is the Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy, which is a natural healing energy. It works on physical, emotional and spiritual levels.
During a Reiki treatment, a Reiki practitioner will place their hands on or above the client’s fully clothed body. The Universal Life Force energy is then channeled through the practitioner to the client. The Reiki energy is guided where it is needed. People report feeling warmth, cold, tingling or a very peaceful and relaxing feeling.
Reiki can be used to compliment all types of health care. It can be used to reduce stress, and increase energy for health maintenance.
Reiki works on people, animals, plants, objects and situations.
Lee Shook has been a Reiki practitioner since 2001 and received her Master/Teacher degree in 2007. She has worked in the health care industry for 20 years and is currently a facilitator at Bija Yoga Studio in Naples. She has studied with Denise Lescano since 2006.
